ADAS & AD Systems Portfolio: Tomorrow is Today
- Continental presents technologies for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
- System solutions for autonomous driving (AD) are also already under development
Continental will be presenting a broad product portfolio of technologies for assisted, automated and autonomous driving at the TechShow. The technology company has both in mind: the mobility of today, for which various systems allow partially automated driving functions; and the mobility of tomorrow, for which Continental is developing innovative solutions for highly automated and autonomous driving. The latest developments will be shown at the TechShow: for example, the intelligent software solution Driving Planner, which calculates complex traffic situations several seconds in advance and can thus guide a vehicle along motorways and expressways in a highly automatically manner at Level 3.
Continental's portfolio of systems for highly automated and autonomous driving makes road traffic significantly safer. A new cruising assistant, for example, is just about ready for use. It intelligently combines various assistance systems such as emergency brake assist, adaptive cruise control, as well as lane-keeping and lane-change assist, and enables partially automated driving. Innovative lidar and radar sensors or camera systems are already supporting drivers in difficult or confusing situations on the road. As a system supplier, Continental not only has the central hardware components, but also the necessary software expertise to configure a wide variety of driver assistance systems and to put them together in a modular and scalable manner.
