AUTO BILD Summer Tire Test 2025: Continental PremiumContact 7 "Exemplary"

Hanover, Germany, March 6, 2025. In this year's summer tire test (issue 10/25), the German magazine AUTO BILD rates Continental's PremiumContact 7 as "exemplary". The editorial team tested a total of 52 tire models from European, Asian and American manufacturers in size 225/40 R 18. The resulting 20 finalists were extensively tested in a variety of test disciplines on wet and dry roads. The test vehicle was a BMW 1 Series.

The AUTO BILD editorial team's verdict on the PremiumContact 7: "Very good aquaplaning reserves, short braking distances, dynamic handling, impressive mileage, very good performance in the cost section." In the cost category, the PremiumContact 7 received an overall mark of 1-.
For the wet test discipline, aquaplaning and cornering aquaplaning, braking, handling and circling were tested. On dry roads, the editors tested braking, handling, ride comfort and pass-by noise. The editorial team also compared the mileage, rolling resistance and price/mileage ratio of each model.
