For On-road and Off-road: the New Continental CrossContact H/T

  • New, robust Continental summer tire for on-road and off-road use
  • 20 percent higher mileage
  • Delivery range to be further expanded

Hanover, Germany, February 23, 2023. The new CrossContact H/T from Continental is a summer tire tailored to the needs of drivers traveling on paved and unpaved roads as well as gravel tracks. Developed with a particularly robust, high-performance and comfortable design, the new summer tire bears the M+S rating as proof of its off-road suitability and can be fitted to vehicles with conventional and electric drive systems.

Continental is producing 43 items to enable as many drivers as possible to fit these tires. Production will start in the spring and be gradually expanded. Each one is equipped with a rim rib that protects the wheel from damage when coming into contact with stones. The new CrossContact H/T is manufactured for rims with diameters between 15 and 21 inches, with approvals of up to 270 km/h.

For the new summer tire model, the tire engineers in Hanover have adapted the tread and compound in such a way that not only is traction possible on and off the road (H/T = highway/terrain), but mileage has also been increased by 20 percent compared with the previous model. At the same time, its safety-related properties are similarly as advanced as those of its predecessor, and its low rolling noise is gentle on vehicle occupants and the environment.
