First Continental Truck Tire Plant Receives Internationally Recognized ISCC PLUS Sustainability Certification

July 09, 2024 The Continental plant in Púchov, Slovakia, recently became the company's first tire plant also producing truck tires to receive the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS sustainability certification. This globally recognized certification confirms the transparency of the traceability of the raw materials used in the production process. Certification of the raw materials enables Continental to ensure the end-to-end traceability of the materials from sustainable sources. For the premium manufacturer, this represents another step on the journey towards 100-percent sustainable materials in its tire products by 2050 at the latest.

Olaf Schick to Become New Continental CFO

June 27, 2024 At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Continental AG appointed Olaf Schick (52) as the company’s new chief financial officer (CFO) effective July 1. In addition to Group Finance and Controlling, Schick will remain responsible for Group Law and Intellectual Property, Group Compliance, Group Internal Audit, Group Quality Management and Group Risks and Controls, all of which are currently part of the Integrity and Law function.

June 05, 2024 On Saturday, June 29, this year's Tour de France will kick off in Florence, Italy. As in previous years, the official support and service vehicles of the Tour organization will be running on Continental tires. Continental has presented the fifth-generation Conti Eco tire line for freight transportation. The new product is geared squarely to the needs of customers in the transport sector and a dynamic regulatory environment, which means it also meets all the requirements of the EU Taxonomy for fleets.
