The Missing Link – a VDO link for vehicle and tachograph data

Record vehicle and tachograph data even in vehicles without sufficient telematics – and make the data usable? This used to be unimaginable – but the new VDO Link from Continental now makes it possible. Fleet managers can remotely retrieve and process vehicle and tachograph data in real time with this first-of-its-kind, plug-and-play solution. For example, the data includes the driver’s driving times and rest periods.

Plug-and-play for more compliance 

Installation can be carried out without the need for a workshop visit. Thanks to the VDO Link, fleet managers can now unlock the full potential of tachograph data they already have. Most importantly, it also enables them to meet their ever-increasing EU Mobility Package compliance obligations – as efficiently and automatically as possible. Because this is Continental´s promise to transport companies when it comes to compliance: To do all they can to make compliance easy for transport companies.  

Marcello Lucarelli, Head of the Connected Commercial Vehicle Solutions business segment at Continental, had told participants much more about the VDO Link technology and other benefits for fleet managers and drivers during his digital Continental TechTalk presentation on the IAA Transportation Preview 2022.
