VF-Technology
Agricultural tires have to deliver top performance under a wide range of conditions - be it on different soils, with varying loads or at different speeds. VF (Very High Flexion) technology enables tires to master these challenges while protecting the soil thanks to a broader footprint.
VF technology optimizes the tire geometry in several areas: The stronger belt and shoulder construction of the tire significantly increases strength and durability. This design ensures a more even load distribution in the tire, which not only extends the service life but also significantly increases the load capacity. In addition, an optimized bead geometry improves the deflection of the sidewall, which is supported by the flexible N.flex technology. This special nylon material provides additional flexibility.
For the farmer, this means significantly increased efficiency, especially when switching between road and field. Compared to standard tires, VF tires can carry approximately 40 percent higher load at the same tire pressure or handle the same load with around 40 percent lower tire pressure. This saves time and also protects the soil thanks to the larger contact area of the tire. All in all, VF technology offers farmers a robust, flexible and soil-friendly solution that sustainably increases the efficiency of agricultural operations.
VF technology is available in three Continental tire lines: VF TractorMaster Hybrid, VF TractorMaster and VF CombineMaster.
- Belt geometry: The broader and stronger belt and more robust shoulder area enhance the sturdiness and durability of a VF tire.
- Bead geometry: The optimized bead geometry improves the bead area and sidewall deflection.
- N.flex technology: The N.flex technology’s nylon material gives the bead area and sidewall their flexibility.
