Expert Portrait: Marta Malainho

Marta Malainho has been in charge of the Research and Development department for Agricultural Tires at Continental’s location in Lousado, Portugal, since January 2018. With a background in polymer engineering and rubber technology as well as additional training in sustainability and asset management, she brings more than 26 years of experience at Continental to her role. Her previous responsibilities have included international projects such as the commissioning of the greenfield plant in Camaçari (Brazil) and assignments in the Product Industrialization (PI) department in Timișoara (Romania).

In her current position, Marta Malainho is responsible for the strategic direction and management of research and development for agricultural tires. Her main tasks include training her team and further developing agricultural products and technologies. Her focus is on sustainable value creation and the continuous improvement of process quality and customer satisfaction.
