Success Story: German Sustainability Award for Tires Made from Dandelions

Sustainable tires are no longer a thought experiment but have long been a reality. We have been researching tires made of dandelion rubber since 2011. Dandelion? Exactly, you read that right. Research is being carried out with dandelions from Kazakhstan. With the bicycle tires made of dandelion rubber, we even won the German Sustainability Award.

From Idea to Innovation: How Artificial Leather Is Made from Coffee

The importance of breaks for creativity is shown by the innovation "artificial leather made of coffee". During a coffee break, employees came up with the sustainable idea of making artificial leather from coffee grounds. Instead of throwing the coffee grounds in the trash, it gets a second life. The potential behind this idea is enormous, because in Germany alone there are one million tons of coffee grounds waste per year.

Continental offers sustainable solutions not only for the street, but also for living. Continental shows what this looks like with a tiny house. The ContiHome impresses with durable, recyclable surfaces and a holistic design concept. At the same time, it offers an answer to the increasingly densely populated residential areas. The smart house stands on a trailer and can thus change location.
